PRODUCTION POSITIONS

Producer

We are looking for an experienced Producer to bring their passion and leadership skills to our growing team of talented developers.

About the position

This is a chance for someone to join our studio at an exciting time – multiple projects, new ideas, quick prototyping, efficient development and diverse platforms. You will fit into our team to ensure that we maintain our track record for fast development, reliably solid deliveries and high quality as we expand the studio.

We pride ourselves on our efficient development process so you will need to be someone who remains alert – pre-empting issues to remain one step ahead and ensure that their games remain on schedule and launch smoothly.
We are completely transparent with our development partners so we need someone that can communicate in a clear and frank manner. We want you to be an enthusiastic head of your team – maintain morale, drive them to innovate and be excited about their projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise between team and stakeholders to create a concise sprint brief to confirm priorities.
  • Work with team to plan a sprint full of accurately estimated tasks.
  • Run daily scrums with the team and report any issues to senior management.
  • Work with senior management to deal with any potential resource allocation issues.
  • Manage team to work efficiently and hit planned deadlines at the expected quality bar.
  • Ensure that teams adhere to established development processes.
  • Producing build reports to accompany key deliverables that cover completed work, known issues and highlights of next delivery.
  • Work with team members and stakeholders to maintain a clear backlog, product roadmap and schedule.
  • Work with external providers and to ensure they also deliver on-time and meet our quality expectations.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of taking a project from conception, into production, releasing to market and updating as required.
  • Demonstrates leadership and communication skills within creative teams.
  • Remains calm and stays organised under pressure.
  • Spots production problems as they occur and can present solutions to remain on track.
  • Experience of Agile development methodology – scrums, sprint planning, etc.
  • Mastery of JIRA task tracking software would be an advantage.
  • Experience of working collaboratively, knowing when to accommodate changes and when to push back robustly.
  • Experience of working with analytics and improving key KPIs to improve game performance would be an advantage.

ART POSITIONS

UI/UX Artist

We have a new opening at our Nottingham studio for a highly skilled UI/UX artist 

About the position

As we expand, so too does our demand for another talented and highly skilled UI/UX artist to join our studio at a very exciting time. 

You will have the opportunity to work across many different projects, so you should be able to adapt to produce varying 2D graphical styles and UI content.

User experience (UX) is also a key part of the role, with the successful candidate having a wide knowledge of recent mobile games successes, and the ability to design superb and seamless UI flow.

Responsibilities:

  • You will produce concepts, designs and prototypes for new products UI and features
  • You will mentor and collaborate with UI artists to ensure quality bar and deadlines are met
  • Liaise between UI team, the Art Director and Producer

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience or 2 released games
  • Experience of designing strong User Experience (UX) for games
  • Solid portfolio containing examples of UI work and graphic design.
  • Exceptional 2D graphics skills
  • Ability to iterate fast on ideas
  • Expert knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Working knowledge of Unity and NGUI experience
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence to communicate own ideas.
  • Experience of Agile development methodology – scrums, sprint planning etc.
  • Web experience a bonus but not essential
  • Aware of latest trends in UI, UX and Web Design

Mobile Game Artist-Generalist

We are currently looking for experienced full-time 3D generalists with broad skill-sets to work in-house at our Nottingham based studio.

About the position

We have a number of exciting projects in development and are looking to expand our art team with individuals who are as passionate about making great games as we are.

You will be required to have excellent skills in animation, modelling/texturing and you will also be adaptable to working in varying art styles from cartoon to the more realistic.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years industry experience
  • Excellent artistic ability
  • Strong portfolio showing examples of animation, 3d models and hand-painted texture maps.
  • Expert knowledge of a 3d package such as Lightwave, Maya or 3ds Max
  • Expert knowledge of Photoshop or similar
  • Strong 2D UI/graphic design skills
  • Unity experience
  • Zbrush experience
  • Self-motivated and disciplined
  • Team player, with good communication skills

3d animator - Characters

We currently have a vacancy at our Nottingham studio for a talented Character Animator.

About the position

We are looking to hire someone who lives and breathes character animation. You should have a comprehensive understanding of animation principles such as squash and stretch, overlapping animation etc and should be able to demonstrate strong posing, weight and timing in your work. You will also have an awesome character showreel to wow us with! We need people who can think on their feet and deliver high quality work within tight deadlines.

CODE POSITIONS

Game Programmers

We are currently looking for Game Programmers with broad skill-sets to work at our Nottingham based studio.

About the position

We have a number of exciting projects in development and are looking to expand our programming teams with individuals who are as passionate about making great games as we are.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years game programming experience.

  • UNITY experience on mobile devices preferred.

We will also consider excellent graduates, with a minimum of a 2:1 or above degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related discipline, able to demonstrate an aptitude to develop high quality game software.
