Digital Marketer, Mobile User Acquisition Specialist

About the position

This is a chance for someone to join our studio at an exciting time – we have a number of high profile projects in development that require your skill and expertise to realise their full potential.

You will have an understanding of how metrics are used to drive user acquisition strategies, an understanding of retention features and can backup up you your experience with ROI results.

You will be a team player, be a creative thinker, work on your own initiative and be able to liaise directly with the Development teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and execution of user acquisition campaigns for mobile games
  • Oversee and optimise acquisition marketing campaigns across social media and mobile networks
  • Experiment, test and analyse campaigns across multiple channels
  • Use data-driven insights to enhance performance through targeting and segmentation
  • Writing new creative briefs and running A/B tests on paid social media and similar channels
  • Analyse marketing data and produce comprehensive UA reporting

Skills Required:

  • In-depth knowledge of acquisition campaigns on mobile ad channels, especially on Facebook, Instagram and similar social media platforms
  • Strong experience with campaign management tools and key performance metrics for mobile marketing campaigns
  • Excellent knowledge of Social Media marketing
  • Strong experience with user testing and customer journey optimisation on Facebook and Instagram as well as other UA channels
  • Familiarity with tracking tools and audience measurement tools (e.g. Facebook Analytics and Audience Insights)
  • Excellent communication and copywriting skills
  • Be Proactive: have a desire to suggest new content ideas and explore opportunities
  • Fast learner: there will be opportunities to learn lots of new skills in this role, and the ideal candidate will show an aptitude and passion for self-improvement
  • Analytical thinker with great attention to details

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of Photoshop and ability to produce attractive ad creatives
  • Experience with Google AdWords campaigns
  • Passion for games and the games industry, particularly mobile gaming

ART POSITIONS

Character Artist

We are looking for a talented Character Artist to join the team.

About the position

As we expand, so too does our demand for another talented and highly skilled Character Artist to join our studio at a very exciting time. 

You will have the opportunity to work across many different projects, so you should be able to adapt to produce engaging characters in varying styles; from realistic to fun cartoon characters.

You should have the skills to produce high quality sculpts for presentation and concepting purposes and will then take them through a production pipeline to create optimised game ready characters.

Responsibilities:

  • You will produce character concepts, sculpts and game ready characters.
  • You will create character texture maps for use in game and for promotional material.
  • Liaise between project art lead, the Art Director and Producer

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience or 2 released games
  • Experience of game character pipelines from concept through to in game characters
  • Solid portfolio containing examples of engaging characters.
  • Exceptional illustration and hand drawn skills
  • Ability to iterate fast on ideas and concepts
  • Excellent understanding of polygon flow for animation
  • Expert knowledge of Zbrush or 3D Coat
  • Working knowledge of Unity
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence to communicate own ideas.
  • Experience of Agile development methodology – scrums, sprint planning etc.
  • Aware of latest trends in character development

Mobile Game Artist-Generalist

We are currently looking for experienced full-time 3D generalists with broad skill-sets to work in-house at our Nottingham based studio.

About the position

We have a number of exciting projects in development and are looking to expand our art team with individuals who are as passionate about making great games as we are.

You will be required to have excellent skills in animation, modelling/texturing and you will also be adaptable to working in varying art styles from cartoon to the more realistic.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years industry experience
  • Excellent artistic ability
  • Strong portfolio showing examples of animation, 3d models and hand-painted texture maps.
  • Expert knowledge of a 3d package such as Lightwave, Maya or 3ds Max
  • Expert knowledge of Photoshop or similar
  • Strong 2D UI/graphic design skills
  • Unity experience
  • Zbrush experience
  • Self-motivated and disciplined
  • Team player, with good communication skills

CODE POSITIONS

Backend Developer

We are looking for a talented, self – motivated backend developer to join our team.

About the position

This is a chance for someone to join our studio at an exciting time – multiple projects, new ideas, quick prototyping, efficient development and diverse platforms.

The ideal candidate has a demonstrated passion for technology, building great software and a focus on shipping clean, maintainable code.

They possess strong technical skills in software development and a solid understanding of OO and prototypal principles.
All our forthcoming games are dependant on a strong and stable server back-end so this is a real opportunity for a talented server programmer to make an immediate impact.

Essential skills and experience:

  • node.js
  • Unity and C#
  • NoSQL databases
  • Bash
  • Experience in building scalable systems
  • Excellent standard of programming expertise
  • Able to use own initiative, work methodically and work to deadlines
